Rivka's Bat Mitzvah: A Day of Joy and Celebration at The Great Room in Savage, MD

Rivka’s Bat Mitzvah was a spectacular celebration held at The Great Room in Savage, MD. Run by the fabulous catering company Putting on the Ritz, the venue was bathed in beautiful natural light flowing through the windows and a large skylight, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Our dynamic duo, DJ/MC Jared and Wendy from the Epic Events Maryland, provided the entertainment, keeping the energy high and the guests entertained throughout the day. As the one of the top Mitzvah DJ’s in DC, Maryland, and Virginia, we started with getting the kids up dancing and playing games, ensuring they had a blast. As the party progressed, the dance floor became a lively space with a great mix of music. The kids enjoyed hits from Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, and Olivia Rodrigo, while the adults reveled in 90s throwbacks like "Jump Around," "No Diggity," and "Skatman."

Rivka chose not to make a grand entrance, preferring to jump straight into the celebration with her friends and family. The highlight of the day y was the heartfelt toasts given by both grandmothers. Rivka's paternal grandmother, speaking in German, delivered a beautiful speech that was translated for all to appreciate, adding a personal and touching element to the event.

The decor featured a mint green and light pink theme, with our DJ booth lit to match. The reception area was adorned with light pink and mint green tablecloths and napkins, complementing the natural light that filled the room during the daytime celebration.

The dance floor was a hit with guests of all ages, culminating in an epic kids vs. adults dance-off that brought the energy to a peak. Everyone enjoyed the fun and friendly competition, making it a memorable highlight of the day.

Putting on the Ritz had an amazing vegetarian buffett and a yummy sundae bar for dessert.

IAHK Photo Booth rocked the photo booth, providing fun and memorable keepsakes for the guests.

The celebration concluded with the classic "Sweet Caroline," bringing everyone together for a final dance. The joy and unity on the dance floor were palpable, leaving a lasting impression on Rivka and her guests.
